Our Work
Charity for Jannah is a 100% voluntary organization. All donations received are directly sent to assisting people in need. Since the foundation of Charity for Jannah, only 5% have been used for administrative purposes, like this web page, and the rest has been given in its entirety to Palestine. Some costs have even been covered by our founders as a means to assist in the needed areas as much as possible, as well as keeping our main goal intact: to ensure the help reaches where it’s needed.
palestine
Our Work In Palestine
Charity for Jannah would not have been able to work as efficiently without our team in Palestine. We have a few team leaders in Palestine, in which all of them are surrounded by their very own team. All parts of our team in Palestine, live and experience the horrors of the situation on a daily basis. Making them as vulnerable and in need of assistance, as much as the people they are assisting. As heartbreaking as it is, this makes them a trustworthy source for us to plan how to use all donations in the very best and most effective way possible. We are in direct communication with them, planning how and what donations are spent on, according to the actual needs at all times as well as what is available.
rafah
Evacuation in Rafah
Examples of this are during the evacuation to Rafah. Most people came to Rafah with only their utmost necessary belongings. Most displaced families, people and orphans did not have anywhere to sleep and were forced to sleep on the ground with no roof above their heads. In these times we assisted with sending money for some tents and our team built them with the families. Another example is during winter, people were cold and freezing. Our team were able to purchase blankets, winter jackets as well as hats and shoes. They distributed this in the streets and also delivered to displaced families in their tents.
Gaza
Helping People in Gaza for Basic Needs
Another very important point to make is that many people have no means to cook for themselves. Even if they had the money to buy food in the markets, many of them lack even the most basic kitchen equipment, as all have been lost. Therefore our team is both cooking and distributing the streets as well as delivering food to families in their tents. Our team does their best to purchase various types of food, they are always mindful of the people around them and doing their best to provide them with vegetables, rice, lentils and beans, canned goods, meat, whenever they are able to and also cheese and making and distributing bread.
We have had several distributions of drinking water in the streets, and also parts of our team have delivered water by walking through ruins to deliver to sick, elderly and injured people.
They also look at other needs and try to meet those needs. Our team has built tents, bought clothes and hygiene articles as well as formula. They buy water from big tanks to hand out, and some of the team members take water and food and walk long distances to give to those in areas that are completely bombed. Like Northern Gaza.
Collections of Donations
Charity for Jannah works in several ways to collect donations. There have been fundraisers as well as participation in fairs. In these events we talk to people, share their frustration of today’s situation in several places in the world, as well as collecting donations. People participating in both fundraisers and fairs contribute to our work, by donating and also by adding us on social media, sharing our work and helping us grow. Which leads us to another important part of our work, which is to keep our social media active and updated. In our day and age we are fortunate to have social media as a platform to help those in need. People all over the world are sending their contributions, ensuring our work continues. In addition to this we also have a few very important businesses and organizations whom we cooperate with.
